Uh, it's getting better...

The Telekom finally repaired the interent connection but now they "accidently" cut part of the telephone cables. How stupid can you be? I mean, seriously, how stupid?

I feel mostly with a good portion of after reading the email they send. *sigh*

Mom and I watched Journey to the Center of the Earth and even though it's more or less light entertainment and the story nothing new, we did enjoy it. After all this cable trouble, we deserved to be easily amused. *grins*

And it doesn't hurt that Brendan Fraser and Anita Briem look quite good covered in dirt and, uhm, slime. =D

Special effect and the world in the world are done down to the detail. I fell in love with the treehouse but unfortunately it's a bit too big for our garden. ^^

Too bad they kinda blasted through the mine cause I would have loved to see more of it. It reminded me of City of Ember and the wonderfully designed city deep down in the earth.

Some of the workers looked like mine-workers as well. Well, the ones that worked in the hydroelectric generator room and the pipes.

I saw the movie before I read the books but they really tried to keep it as close as possible. And mostly succeeded. *nods* The actors for Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow are well choosen. Hopefully they will play them in the sequels as well (if they make them).

The ending sequence, especially the sunrise, is my most favourite scene. :)

Ah, this year has some really great movies. Definitely made up for all the crappiness of real life. *nods*
