[Lilo & Stitch] Stitch - sad

Elvis lived.... 2,000 years ago. *flails*

It's unmistakably The King. The quiff, flowing locks, pensive eyes and parted lips of this bust, pictured right, are the spitting image of Elvis Presley.

But the sculpture that has archaeologists All Shook Up is 2,000 years old.

Suspicious Minds may question how an exact likeness of the rock legend could have been carved by a Roman sculptor in 400BC.

But it has been authenticated by experts at auctioneers Bonhams.

The bust – called an acroterion – once adorned a burial chamber for ancient VIPs.

It is one of 150 artefacts, which once belonged to Australian collector Graham Geddes, to be auctioned in London in October.

A Bonhams spokesman said: “Even Graham Geddes calls the carving Elvis.

Fans of the rock ’n’ roll king will be forgiven for thinking that their idol may have lived a previous life in Rome.”

Either the old guys of Rome had their own rock 'n' roll and pop culture that got lost somewhere along the way or they had a really bad sense of hairstyle for that time... *snickers*
